I've just replaced a busted turbo on my d e46 and took it for a test drive but turbo isn't kicking in and the car is struggling to get past rpm. I've put it on the computer and its throwing back fault code EGR Control Deactivation.

So the last time it did this I had my code reader ready and these were the codes shown as it was limping along, 41A4, P, , P14A6 which to do with DPF pressure and EGR. EGR is good and DPF is about 10, mls old (turbo was changed at that time also).

My 09 35d w/ 40k miles has had a hesitation issue for the past few months. During gentle acceleration between 15rpm, my ECU measured boost pressure starts to fluctuate between 15 and 20 psi times per second. Going slower or faster makes this go away.

We’ve cleaned and re-installed all the wheel speed sensors. In the ABS menu - Fault code 5E40 steering angle implausible. In the DSC sub-menu, live-feed, the steering angle measures OK lock to lock, so I guess the steering angle sensor itself is working. In the EPS menu - no fault code.
